The story begins in a village where Arumugham (Vikram) and his childhood friend (Jyothika) live. The river in the village is polluted by wastes from a chemical factory nearby. When the villagers' efforts to thwart the pollution is in vain, Arumugham, the goodie goodie lad is chosen to respresent their woes to the minister of their constituency in Chennai. Arumugham goes to Chennai with Easwari and her grandmother and stays with his friend (Vivek) and his gang. Swapna (Reema Sen), a model living in the same area falls for Arumugham.

Arumugham give petitions to the minister (Sayaji Shinde) who seems nice with loads of promises to save the river. Once Arumugham happened to fight a group of anti-socials headed by a lady. Arumugam reaslises late that the people he fought against are the henchmen of the minister, who also is behind all crimes. How Arumugham along with a sincere police officer (Manoj.K.Jayan) exposes the minister forms the rest of the story.

Story

Though the plot has been used earlier, the treatment by the new director is new and novel, creating the right believable atmosphere and suspense. But with a tighter script rather than the tighter clothes, the film could have been more crisp and enjoyable. Arya, as the hero sandwiched between two alluring curvaceous and willing sisters, being offered the forbidden fruit and Akshaya, as the besotted girl, have both played their roles perfectly. show a fine understanding of their characters. Akshaya is the thrilling debut actress who impresses us with her performance, revealing the aspects of love, lust, cunning; truly, a talent to watch out for! Renuka Menon fulfils her limited role honorably.

Story:

Plot:

Story:
Madhavan as "Bottle Mani" and Vivek as "Auto" bring the roof down with their rib-tickling comedy in K.S. Ravikumar's Aethirree. Delhi Ganesh, who comes as a retired Brahmin houseowner, backs them very well.

Natarajan (Delhi Ganesh) is a Brahmin house-owner near Triplicane temple looking for a right tenant for the upper portion of his house. He is naturally very protective of his college going beautiful daughter Gayathri (Kanika). Since he often fears that the prospective tenant might romance his daughter, he rejects all prospective tenants. He finally rents out the house to five bachelor students, who pretend to be good and later become a big headache for the father and daughter. On the advice of 'Auto' (Vivek), Natarajan brings Subramani (Madhavan), who charades himself as 'Bottle Mani', a dreaded thug to vacate the student-tenants. Incidentally Mani, who stays with his Jailor uncle (Sundarrajan), was thrown out of his house as he refused to marry uncle's daughter. Taking advantage of the situation, Mani befriends the five boys and starts staying with them.

Priya (Sada) is the daughter of a wealthy gangster (Fefsi Vijayan), engaged to an affluent sadist ACP (Rahman). On the day of her marriage, Priya comes to know that her fiancée is already married and had murdered his first wife in a sadistic manner but her father forces her to marry him to cover up his illegal activities. She consumes poison just before the wedding, but is mistakenly kidnapped by Mani and Auto. Now Priya becomes one more addition in the upstairs portion. The rest of the story is how they fall for each other and how Mani saves her from the clutches of her dad and fiancé and marries her at the end.

Madhavan's flair for comedy has made him come out with flying colours. He excels in humour as well as action scenes. Vivek has given an equally wonderful performance. Delhi Ganesh and Kanika have given adequate support. Sada is just OK. Rahman, who has made a comeback as villain, is adequate. K.S. Ravikumar, who is best at giving light-hearted films, has mixed action and humour in proper proportions. He is able to maintain the pace of the movie without any lag. Yuvan's music is passable. The entire family can watch the film - together.

Plot

Tamizh (Vijay) is a ruthless, fearless hit man in the Chennai underworld. He climbs the mafia ladder much to the dislike of other members in the gang. All this culminates in a rivetting climax where Tamizh is revealed to be none other than IPS officer Sathyamoorthy Shanmugavel, who had infiltrated the mafia undercover to rid the city of all its criminal elements. He becomes a one-man army who takes on Ali Bhai and his entire gang proceeding the murders of his father, retired circle inspector Shanmugavel, and foster brother Saravanan, while rooting out the corrupt elements of the police force.

Story

There are five teenage boys who are very thick friends. They have typical teen-boy fantasies - proposing to each and every chick they come across, touching women in crowded areas, boozing, browsing porn books, trying for call girls etc. In the process they meet a girl Harini (Genelia). A guy called Munna (Nakul) from these boys group fall in love with her and she also loves him. After coming to know about it, the parents separate the boy, girl and the friends. The boy and the girl get desperate and elope to Tirupati to get married.

The parents throw them out of their houses. The friends also come out to support this young couple. They all work together to make a living. They find their strengths and hidden talents. They form a band called 'Boys'. Sign a contract with Sony Music and win M TV awards. In the process, small differences crop up between the wedded couple and they fall out. The rest of the film is all about how they get united with the help of friends!

STORY: The movie was totally awesome ... technically .. Its a very different approach followed by the director .. We could definitely say with pride that Gautam has taken Indian cinema to new heights ... ! The story narration was beautiful though it did not have a very strong plot ... Thanks to Hollywood ... Tamil Cinema is reaching new dimensions ... Especially the opening 15 minutes and the scene where the killer talks with Kamal in midst of vendetta .. Just too good ! Kudos to the director .. the real hero ! Though he is not commendable in the plot, as in Kaakha Kaakha, he wanted to prove a point here ... and he does it in style ... Cheers Last but not the least ... The pride of Indian cinema .. Dr Kamal Haasan .... Does a powerful role with so much of ease ... Yet another movie of his to be remembered ..

Now coming to the negatives: Though the director succeeds in a certain way .. he lets you down at certain scenes which are so Indian ... Especially.. When the hero does things out of nowhere and categorizes them as "Raghavan Instincts" .. the scene where the killers escape from the airport .. and the usual coincidence where the killers meets the hero and his girl within minutes he reaches a new city ..

Our heroes which includes Kamal .. For their lack of body maintenance .. (Got to reduce the protruding tummy) Though these are negatives, they just go vanishing because of the style in which things are told ! In a nut shell .. Its a delight to watch this film !

Story:

Prashanth's Shock, a remake of Ramgopal Verma's Bhoot, is a movie on whether there exist ghosts or not?

Interestingly, it's an entertainer with no songs, no gorgeous sets, neither action nor punch line dialogues, which are a common feature in a Tamil movie, these days. Thiyagarajan, who has produced and directed the movie deserve an appreciation for his honest and sincere attempt on the screen. Prashanth, Meena and Suhasini Manirathinam have done their best, while Saleem Sulaiman's background score add strength to the film.

Prashanth and Meena move into their new rented flat in an apartment complex. However, he hides a truth to her that a young girl had jumped off from the flat and died, a few months ago. When Meena comes to know about it, she feels herself in a world of dark secluded from everyone. She begins walk away from her flat in the nights. Piqued by her attitude, Prashanth consults a psychiatrist Sarath Babu, who tells him that his wife suffers from a multiple personality disorder.

However, when his maidservant Kalairani insists on him that his wife is exorcised by a ghost, he decides to call a medium( one who converses to ghosts). Suhasini steps in there. Suhasini finds out that Meena is exorcised by the ghost of the young woman, who died in the flat. The ghosts real motive is found out by her and a solution is finally arrived at to the relief of Prashanth.

Prashanth looks matured and executes his part well. Meena too has played her part well. Towards the second-half, her histrionics deserve appreciation. Thiyagarajan plays a policeman in the movie, while Devan, K R Vijaya and Abbas are also in the cast.
