Story:
A known tale, the story is set on the backdrop of a fishing hamlet named Yaazh nagar and here lives Sura (vijay). He is a nice young man and is loved by all for his helping nature and his good works. He is always accompanied by Umbrella (vadivelu) and together, they create a lot of fun and fiesta in the hamlet. In comes Poornima (tamannah) who is about to commit suicide but gets rescued. Eventually, she falls in love with Sura. The story takes a turn when the corrupt and powerful minister Samuthira Raja (dev gill) sets his eyes on the land of Yaazh Nagar and wants to grab it. Sura resists the moves of the minister and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Plot:
The movie starts dramatically with Anjali (Trisha), clad in spotless white, thrusting a shining knife into Devan. As blood drips out, it never stops all through.The story is about Aathi (Vijay), is brought up in New Delhi (by foster parents Seetha and Manivannan). He comes to Chennai apparently to study. But he is thirsting for revenge on those who had bumped off his parents and close relatives of uncles and aunts who were all living together in a joint family.Anjali, aided by her uncle (Nasser) is also in the same college. She is also one a revenge mission. Her reason too is the same. And her target is also the same. Why? Well, there is a smart bit of suspense. Aathi and Anjali fall in love and set out on the trail of their antagonists.
Dharani’s film Kuruvi with Vijay-Trisha starrer is an action adventure movie. After the blockbuster Ghilli, Dharani-Vijay duo is hopeful to make it big at the box office with Kuruvi. The movie is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and LSS Sathyan with music notes played by Vidyasagar.
The plot engages Vijay as a nice guy working for a courier firm. Little does he know that the couriers are being used as a secure transit route for several illegal substances like narcotics by a smuggling gang. Neither Vijay nor his courier firm is aware of this transaction and fate lands him in jail, transporting one such parcel with smuggled goods. How he tries to disentangle from the knots of misfortune and bring the bad guys, headed by a respected name in the society, to the fore forms the rest of the story. Suman, the ‘all-white’ clad villain of Sivaji is back again doing a similar role in the movie. The movie is fast-paced and excitingly thrilling moving at a breakneck speed with Vijay’s escapades and chases forming a greater part of the story.

Tamizh (Vijay) is a ruthless, fearless hit man in the Chennai underworld. He climbs the mafia ladder much to the dislike of other members in the gang. But he maintains his principles, namely, never to harm women or children. He falls in love with Shruthi (Asin Thottumkal), an aerobics instructor. But a corrupt police officer L. Govindan also covets Shruthi. Tamizh defends her honour at various points in the film. However, Ali Bhai is soon arrested and also released subsequently when his henchmen kidnap the honest City Police Commissioner’s (Napolean) daughter and exploit her. All this culminates in a rivetting climax where Tamizh is revealed to be none other than IPS officer Sathyamoorthy Shanmugavel, who had infiltrated the mafia undercover to rid the city of all its criminal elements. He becomes a one-man army who takes on Ali Bhai and his entire gang proceeding the murders of his father, retired circle inspector Shanmugavel, and foster brother Saravanan, while rooting out the corrupt elements of the police force.

Pugal (Vijay) is a happy-go-lucky man who is on a mission. He works hand-in-glove for a cop, Joseph (Manoj K Jayan), who is on the lookout for an international gang led by the dreaded JD (Prakash Raj) who deals with drugs and ammunition. Pugal goes to a village and meets Jhanvi (Nayanthara), daughter of JD, and falls in love with her. Vijay is a young do-gooder who wants to be a police officer but is forced to change his course and take on the very goons he wanted to eliminate wearing the uniform. Ravi (Vijay) is in Tuticorin. He aspires to become a cop like police officer Devaraj (Sri Hari), his role model. After great effort, he manages to pass plus two and he joins a college in Chennai. During the course, he meets Suseela (Anushka) and falls for her instantly. Thanks to her grandmother, he succeeds in wooing Suseela. In Chennai he takes up his studies in a college and also earns his living plying an auto rickshaw. It is here that his life takes a turn.
He comes across a baddie Chella (Ravishankar) who tries to play spoilsport in the life of his classmate Uma (Sanchitha Padukone). Ravi bashes him up. His troubles start as Chella's father Devanayakam (Salim Ghouse) with the help of greedy police hatches a conspiracy to kill him in a special encounter. It is now a cat and mouse game between the two. And it leads to a predictable climax.

Guru (Vijay) is an athlete and business management student. Abhinaya (Shreya) is the daughter of a business baron (Ashish Vidyarthi). They meet and, what else, fall in love.
The movie goes on to show how the lovers manage to get the permission of the parents. In the meantime, you get to see a different dimension in the tale while the romantic drama is unfolding. Vijay visualizes some bizarre scenes inside his mind. The scenes are disturbing and worse, they become true in the real life.
A psychiatrist (Dr. Rudran) confirms that it is ESP power and says that the imageries visualized by Guru would actually happen sooner or later. Plot
Sachein ( 2005 ) is a Tamil film directed by John Mahendran. The film stars Vijay , Genelia , Bipasha Basu and Linda Arsenio . The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Devi Sri Prasad . The film's music was a hit. Sachien ( Vijay ) is a carefree and noble-hearted college student, who comes across the beautiful Shalini ( Genelia ) in the campus and falls in love with her.
