Veluthukattu Movie Story :
Veluthukattu(U),is a romance(melodramatic) flick which focuses on the economic and mental growth of a villager Kathir(yea the same old formula!). It starts as love story depicting the life of two lovers Arukkani(Arundhati) and Kathir(himself) which is mostly filled with songs,things go haywire as arukkani's parents pose as a problem in their relationship,and when Arukkani finally decides to marry Kathir,her parents send her off in such a way that she starts to realise the reality that could happen after marriage,so she asks Kathir to marry her after getting financially stable and asks him to leave the village and go to Chennai(well this could have been done in 20 -25 Min's,but the director took it till the interval),after the interval the plot focuses on how Kathir grows financially(Don't worry not the regular Tamil Cinema tradition where the hero becomes a billionaire in 1 song but here there are 3 songs,which was very unrealistic and made laugh at certain times),during this half Kathir gains the friendship of two college students Archana and Bhavena who help him through his hard times,at this time Arukkani is forced by her parents to marry someone else and most probably you can guess what happens next!
